About me

I am a Full Stack Web Developer who started in Networking!

I have worked in the hospitality industy for most of my professional career. My background is very diverse including hospitality, youth care work, insurance agent, and most recently teaching. My heart truely belongs to technology, however. I have been exposed to it all my life and love to figure how things work and why they break. This all started when I was very little and began to play console games. I built my own computer and invested in quality hardware strickly as a hobby. But my love for technology exceeds my personal life.

After Covid made it's way through the United States, I found myself with more time on my hands. This is was my time to pursue my dreams. I earned my Cisco Certified Network Assosiate (CCNA) certification through CED Solutions, LLC on my first try. The curriculum was my first exposure to code, as they ask you very basic code questions. I tried to self teach at first and ended up finding my way through a few youtube videos, but I wanted more. I decided to make another investment in myself: I applied and began the Full Stack Wed Development Program through University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.

The UNC Full Stack Web Development program is a 6 month coding bootcamp involving hours of instruction through an extensive curriculum using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Git, Node, Express React, MVC, MySQL, MongoDB, and cloud application development. I graduated September 11, 2021 and was encouraged by my instruction staff to apply as a Teaching Assistant. In October of 2021, I began helping students who were in the same position I was! As of right now, I am in pursuit of a full time opportunity that allows me to work with the the knowledge I have already gained as well as improve my skillset.
